About Eden & our director
Eden Dental Office is a quiet, refined dental clinic in Nagoya where all consultations are available in English. Our director, Dr. Ryosuke Murai, earned his DDS and MSD (Master of Science in Dentistry) in Prosthodontics from Indiana University School of Dentistry in the United States.
At Indiana University, Dr. Murai focused on digital dentistry, implant surgery and restoration, complex full-mouth rehabilitation, and aesthetic treatments including veneers and ceramic restorations. This combination of advanced digital workflows and hands-on specialist training allows him to plan, design, and deliver high-quality results — often in fewer visits than traditional approaches.
Our philosophy is simple: explain before we treat, choose the least invasive option first, and give each patient the time they deserve. For emergency visits, that means relieving your immediate problem in a calm, private setting — and only recommending further treatment if it is truly needed.
Access
Eden Dental Office is located on the 4th floor of the Kajiura Building, a short walk from Fushimi Station on the Higashiyama and Tsurumai subway lines — just one stop from Nagoya Station. A convenient location for travelers, business visitors, and residents across Nagoya.
FAQ
Yes. Our director trained in the United States, and all consultations and explanations are given in English. We are used to caring for travelers, students, and international residents looking for an English-speaking dentist in Nagoya. If you prefer to describe your problem in writing first, you can send us an email in English before your visit.
We always do our best to find a slot for urgent cases on the same day, or the next morning at the latest. The earlier you contact us, the easier it is to help. Please call or email first rather than simply walking in, so we can prepare the right room and equipment.
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons people come to us. We focus on making the tooth safe and comfortable for your flight, and provide a written summary so your dentist at home can continue the treatment smoothly.

Yes. Emergency care for international patients is offered on a self-pay basis. We explain the estimated cost before we begin, so there are no surprises at the end of the visit.
Yes, of course. Many of our international patients feel more at ease with a companion in the consultation room, and we are happy to accommodate this.
Please contact us anyway. Describe what you are feeling and we will tell you honestly whether you should come in right away, later this week, or whether it can safely wait until you are home.
We are on the 4th floor of the Kajiura Building at 1-4-8 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya — about 2 minutes on foot from Fushimi Station, just one stop from Nagoya Station. Look for the women's clothing store on the ground floor.
Please bring a photo ID (passport is fine), a form of payment, and, if possible, any dental piece that came loose such as a crown or filling. If you have recent X-rays from your own dentist, these are also helpful.
